Open constructor game

You can place all of the walls and accessories to create your perfect base of operations where you can relax, or just provide shelter from the harsh conditions on foreign planets.

A survival horror game in every sense of the genre, The Forest finds you taking control of a plane crash survivor, as they search for their missing son.

You must take shelter and craft weaponry to survive against the elements and potential dangerous cannibals that inhabit the forested area. You can create the best shelters for your specific needs, but you may not get a chance to get cozy, as you will need to constantly move forward in order to save the lost son. The Forest is a thrilling game, and no amount of comfy forest homes could prepare you for the experience.

What feels like a spiritual successor to the Turok series, Ark: Survival Evolved has garnered a bit of a cult following despite its lukewarm reviews.

You are tossed onto an island full of dinosaurs both real dinosaurs and imaginary creatures and have to make a stable house to brave the terrors. You can team up in multiplayer and figure out how to survive these hulking beasts, and a well-functioning tribe can easily create a protected house that will be the talk of the prehistoric town.

The title is quite literal, as you are dropped in randomly generated open-worlds to survive for as many days as possible. You can create your very own house if you spend time gathering the proper materials, and makes not starving a little more realistic. The game can be nasty to any newcomer, but a good home can go a long way. Terraria is a randomly generated 2D adventure, very reminiscent of Minecraft.

Terraria sees you building, crafting, defending yourself, and making the most of this blocky world. Being a Landlord might seem like fun. But if you are thinking along the lines of: "I'll just evict them, or raise their rent," you might want to re-think that strategy!

While you certainly can do those things, they tend to have consequences in the game, such as black marks on your record tenants complain to the council if you do not do as they ask, in a timely manner , tenants destroying property upon eviction, or going "rogue" on you and squatting on your land. To wit, a good portion of the game is keeping your tenants happy.

There are a number of items you can make that will do just that. This is done by creating a gadget factory, which you get after building the required structures. The gadget factory is capable of producing various items, including trees, subway stations, garden gnomes, double-glazed windows, computers, doghouses, etc. Tenants will ask for these things randomly, which appear as a flashing icon on the left side of the screen. It is important that you give tenants what they want, so that you can improve their quality of life and create higher-class tenants.

Higher-class tenants produce special characters such as cadets -- which can be trained to be policemen. Building structures is another cool aspect of the game. You build decent housing to create decent tenants, who in turn create special characters, and additional higher-class tenants. By building newer structures, you also procure the use of various henchmen the third aspect of gameplay such as hippies, policemen, clowns and mobsters there are many other psychotic and diabolical creatures to choose from as you advance.

Building new structures has the same effect as advancing a tenant to the next class -- it allows you to build improved structures, new factories and upgrades to existing buildings. The third portion of gameplay, character management, is the best in my opinion. When playing against a computer-controlled opponent, just send out a hippie to invoke a party or picket a factory. If your opponent has an empty house, send him there to take it over.

There are many other characters who do nasty and violent things. There is the pawnshop fellow that will steal materials, appliances, etc. There is a policeman to take care of the pawnshop guy's activities, and handle hostage situations caused by mobsters. The mob is handy for all your killing and maiming needs -- and let us not forget the psycho clown, who has a fondness for playing with matches. But specialty characters aside, the workmen, foremen and repairmen are handy for out-and-out violent acts against an opponent.

Armed with nail guns and tools, they do a darn good job on a picketing hippie or an enemy workman. I may be somewhat demented, but I enjoyed beating up the hippie! Populate your properties with different tenants, each with their own personalities.

From the riff-raff to the toffs you'd do well to keep them pleased. Eight undesirables, including the new "Steptoe's Yard", will enable you to disrupt your rival's activities, or just outright blow them up! Feeling a bit disgruntled with your own tenants? Send over a gang of intelligent Thugs to smash their valuable porcelain! New to the game? Test your skill in over 65 pre-built scenarios including fifteen unique and puzzling story missions. Original Classic Constructor experience with a much-improved set up interface, and traditional online multiplayer.

Pre-build your own cities with the Town Designer. In Constructor Plus you will have the unique opportunity to increase the prestige of your town with eight different retail units.

These towering skyscrapers are only available once you've completed a Steel Yard, and they are much more expensive than your average building. That said, they more than make up for the initial investment by not only providing a passive income from retail sales, but also by boosting various aspects of your city. You may choose from the following retail units in Constructor Plus: With this monstrous tower of trailers, you will be able to temporarily place all new Level 1 and Level 2 tenants into temporary housing whilst you construct more permanent residences!

This means that your Headquarters no longer has a limit on the number of level 1 and level 2 tenants it may hold. In addition to this, the Council waives all taxation fees related to your people. Not only that, but your Headquarters will no longer have any limits to level 3 and level 4 tenants as they totter away the day. They have also devised a cure against zombification, and as such your town will no longer be at risk of zombie outbreaks.

Increasing the influence of the Mob in town means your Gangsters will have better access to appropriate equipment. Each Gangster created whilst the Mob Commission is functional will begin their criminal careers equipped with a pistol instead of a knife. You will also be provided with one extra favour per Gangster you produce. With this structure your property lawyers will ensure that you get the jump on any prime real-estate that your opponent owns.

You will no longer pay extra to build on estates owned by another team. This crazed bunch of scientists swear by their methods. When things get serious you need the professionals. In addition to our new retail units, you will have the chance to also set up swanky Casinos ranging from low-grade penny pinchers up to well-to-do money makers. You'll need to ensure that you place them strategically to procure the greatest number of clients, and you must do your best to protect them from your rivals to extract the most value out of them.

Proper placement is essential as you can only build one of each Casino at any given moment. Fortunately, tenants love to get some much-needed rest and recuperation at the local Casino, and therefore any Casino built on the same estate as other tenants will increase their happiness. You might very well find that you need to knock down some of your older wooden shacks in order to keep your Casinos relatively central to your town, and thus a buzzing beacon of your society!

Casinos in Constructor Plus require constant visits from the locals to continue making money. You will therefore need to ensure that your town is well populated to take full advantage of these buildings. Of course, if your rival has a thriving metropolis you can also build the Casinos closer to their town to attract their tenants instead!

Just be sure that you keep them well protected as this can be a very risky, but also highly rewarding development move. Each tenant type has a limit they can possibly spend at any given moment. In Constructor Plus, we have three different grades of Casino represented by the following: This low-grade Casino is the first of its kind to which you will gain access due to its simple requirements of a Brick Yard. That said, it can be useful to get your foot in the door for more expensive projects down the line.

This medium-grade Casino is the second one you will unlock, and it requires a Steel Yard. The "Crazy Levels" are the real brainteasers and require out-of-the-box thinking and unusual solutions.
