I am now using Ubuntu I have a duel HD on my computer. I was not able to make the changes before the old MB failure. But I would need some advice before I attempt it. Good solution. Windows is up!!!
Thanks again. Worked well, without a hitch. After changing the specs in the device manager, moved the hard disk drive with windows xp to a new pc. Made it the boot drive, went very smooth. Works good, only thing is i cant get windows xp to activate on the new machine it shows the box in the corner saying windows is not activated and when i click activate windows it says this page cannot be displayed, its like the activation web page inst around anymore.
Rather than copying an Intel x64 iastor. My work-around was by renaming the iastor. Restarted PC and worked. Thanks for the article. Thank you for sharing. I downloaded, burned, ran Mini Win XP of the latest version Am I missing something here? I believe the issue has more to do with the system hardware such as motherboard and chipset and the now quite old drivers that are installed in Mini XP.

I haven't tested if it will work after you do this again I am also tring one that would make the SATA drive independent by coping in the WINDOW file from a working hard drive to the one that isn't working It could work I also found that when I tried too boot without useing the workaround I see the standerd "loading bar" for windows and when it is halfway into it it just showes a blue screan for half a second with some english on it and then it just restarts.
